OTTO BOCK HEALTHCARE GMBH
X. PARALYMPICS

In March of 2010, the ZENDOME.150M became part of the 10th Paralympic Games in Vancouver as the Snow-Dome.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) created the interactive experience exhibition “Spirit in Motion – Discover What Moves Us” together with the German Medical Technology Company Otto Bock Health Care. Guests were invited to touch and join in and the exhibition also offered information about the development and backgrounds of the Paralympic movement since 1948.

23,749 visitors actively took part in different events and were fascinated by numerous exciting exhibits which portrayed everyday life, selected sport disciplines and medical technology used in handicapped sports. Rounding up the tour of the exhibition was the Paralympic Lounge which showed films about the past Paralympic Games.

The spectacular “Space for Ideas” also convinced everybody responsible from the ZDF (German National TV), the Deutsche Welle (German International Broadcasting) and many other media representatives that used the dome in order to broadcast the news of 600 athletes from 64 nations competing in Vancouver.
