INITIATIVEN DER EU
BUNDESGARTENSCHAU KOBLENZ 2011

The smallest dome from the modular product series can be found at the centre of six of the eight theme gardens at the National Garden Show in Koblenz 2011. The ZENDOME.30M functions as information pavilion at the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein and attracts national as well as international guests.

Different EU initiatives dealing with bio-diversity are introduced in the “preserve diversity” theme garden. The European Commission and the BUGA Koblenz 2011 introduce the topic to the audience in a green, playful and multi-media way. The visitors can listen to stories of some friends who also live on this planet and thus can realise what we can do ourselves.

“Life on this planet is rich, complex and full of wonder. It is a manifold network of interconnected ecosystems, a net which is called ‘bio-diversity’. (…) When looking at today’s world we see that intense agriculture, urbanisation, traffic, mass tourism, and overfishing are destroying the habitats of many species. The EU is trying to tackle these problems in a combined effort. All member nations are affected. Plants and animals do not stop at national borders. It is the goal of the EU to stop the decline of bio-diversity until 2020.” (National garden Show Koblenz 2011).
